Sara Van Fleet
Board President
Sara Van Fleet is a cultural anthropologist by training and a lover of the world’s natural beauty at heart. Living on the island’s west side since 1999, she considers this her “forever home” and has been on the Land Trust board since 2018.
Currently board president, she believes in the effort to find and restore balance between humans and the natural world, and that the Land Trust plays an important part in this effort. She is sensitive to the inequities brought about in the history of the modern conservation and land trust movements and works with the Land Trust’s Equity Diversity and Inclusion Committee to address these issues on personal as well as organizational levels.
Sara serves on the Executive, JEDI, Farm, Recruitment, and Development and Communication Committees.
