Scott and his wife Miranda have lived on Vashon since 2000, and raised three children here. Scott grew up on a multi-generational working farm in North Carolina, went to school in Colorado, worked as a welder in the oil fields of Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota, then moved to New York City to work in book and magazine publishing, then finally to Seattle and Vashon where he and his wife Miranda were lucky to raise 3 children. Scott has founded multiple companies, served on the Board of the Harbor School and helped start the Vashon Island Schools Foundation. He runs a company called Henrybuilt, which he founded in 2001.

Scott serves on the Executive and Finance Committees.
