Dockton Forest

One of the best trail systems on the island - especially during soggy weather. (Consider this your insider’s tip.) Dockton Park offers 12 miles of multi-use trails, including 3 miles of mountain bike trails if getting a little rad is your thing.

Madrona forests, exquisite shorelines, and fantastic vistas are the highlights of this park. Bald eagle sightings are generally a given at Dockton Forest, where they ride the thermals along the cliffs.

With more land acquisitions in 2022, Dockton Forest will soon have trails that link it to her sister park, Maury Island Marine Park. Visitors will soon have an opportunity for a great 8-mile trip through both parks, a substantial hike right here on Vashon. Stay tuned!
