Sarah Inman

Sarah found Vashon through salmon. Originally from Louisiana, she moved to Seattle in 2016 for a PhD program at the University of Washington. This research was on a project called the State of Alaska’s Salmon and People, and it led to many collaborations with colleagues in fisheries and ecology. One colleague (who became a dear friend) introduced Sarah to Vashon. After visiting, she fell in love with the tall trees, the moss, all the coastline, and the chance to have a garden of her own. She’s excited to contribute to the land trust, particularly on topics related to restoration, storm water management, and regenerative agriculture. She believes in the power of community motivated to understand the nature around them.
