The Land Trust needs volunteers...to do what you already do! The holidays are upon us, town is decorated with lights, and the new year is just around the corner and winter is here! And along with winter come some hefty winds that knock down branches and even whole trees on the roads, near our houses, and on your favorite trails. Last volunteer day of 2017! We'll be demolishing the first couple of sheds at our Grieg property on Judd Creek, as well as burning a brush pile. The wood from the demo will be repurposed at Matsuda farm in the spring for some building projects, and the burn pile will keep us warm while we work! Join us from 10am-2:00pm I can't promise there will be caroling, but I might not be able to help myself.

Our final volunteer event of the year includes sledge hammers! One of the Land Trust's newer preserves along Judd Creek has some old structures that we're going to take down to re-purpose the wood. The hammering won't get too wild but it should be good fun! Scrooges beware, there might be caroling. Dress warmly, bring water, and we'll have everything else! We’ll be demolishing the first couple of sheds and burning a brush pile at one of our new Judd Creek properties.
