270 enthusiastic islanders gathered on Saturday night at O Space with the Vashon Land Trust to celebrate and honor a special man and an iconic place; Bill Fisher and Fisher Pond. 20 years ago Bill made his gift of a pond and 90 acres to the Vashon Land Trust and community to be enjoyed as a nature preserve for all. Building on Bill’s legacy, the crowd came together to raise $157,000 to continue the culture of conservation on Vashon.

Thank you to the local artists, who showed us all their take on Fisher Pond with original works to celebrate the occasion.
